TVHS Cross Country: Vikings host Valley Invite, Miller Leads Lady Vikings

On Saturday morning Tippecanoe Valley Cross Country hosted the Valley Invite.
The Vikings were able to be gracious hosts thanks to senior Chesnee Miller winning the race for the Lady Vikings with a time of 20:00.7.

Miller won the 5,000 meter race by nearly a minute with Bremen’s Hallie Klockow finishing in 2nd place with a time of 20:50.6.
Behind Miller the Lady Viking’s finished in order of Bailey Bussard in 9th place with a time of 23:14.1, Mckenna Lowe in 11th with a time of 23:38.2, Ava Minix in 19th with a time of 25:51.9, and Siena Holder who finished in 36th with a final time of 38:13.1.
For the boys their top finisher was Christopher Marquez who placed 12th with a time of 19:18.2. Marquez and the rest of the runners trailed Bremen’s Luke Kincaid who won the invite with a final time of 16:58.7
The results for Valley behind Marquez were Isaac Whetstone in 18th finishing with a 19:37.5, Eli Sterk in 30th with a final time of 20:35.2, Luis Nunez in 34th with a 21:07.5, Keegan Tignor in 54 finishing with a 22:46.6, Joseph Lybarger in 58th with a time of 24:02.4, Michael Leininger with a 25:06.8, Gavin Leininger with a 26:04.7, and Christian Guzman rounding out the group with a 27:26.8.
Both teams are back on the course next Saturady September 16th at New Praire High School.
