On Wednesday night Tippecanoe Valley’s boys soccer team tied Manchester 3-3. Manchester scored in the first minute of the match off a corner kick and then made it 2-0 in the first 15 minutes. However, Valley was able to make adjustments and Gio Arriaga scored a free kick from 20 yards out to bring the Vikings within a goal at half time.
The second half was a physical battle that saw numerous fouls, but once again going down two goals after Manchester scored 30 seconds into the second half, the valley boys rallied behind incredible midfield play of Kevin Mar and Carson Craft each of whom assisted Gio Arriaga goals. Gio scored a hat-trick on the night including the game tying goal with less than a minute to play in the match. Valley keeper Julian Rosas made myriad saves late in the match to help preserve the tie.
Valley is 2-0-1 on the season and play Maconaquah on Thursday.
